Sister Sessions Vol.6 will happen in two parts:
The first part involves pairing up female participants with female mentors of differing backgrounds/experiences and disciplines to assist them in exploring their own unique movement. The program will provide facilities that allow for participants to be explore their own raw, unique and authentic expressions.
The second part happens on the final performance night where participants have the opportunity to share their creation with the wider Melbourne community. Participants could perform as a solo, duo or with their mentor. The facilities provided by Dancehouse also give participants the opportunity to better express and convey their visions.

If you are successful, please note that the cost will be $40 for individuals and $60 for a duo.
Sister Sessions Melbourne is a female run initiative focused on the promotion and growth of females within the Melbourne Street Dance scene. Originally established in 2018, Sister Sessions has been proud to run 5 events for the female dance community, each focusing on different ideas for self and community development. Sister Sessions events have engaged with over 150 females from both the Melbourne freestyle dance scene and the international dance scene, and assisted a new generation of female freestyle dancers to foster and develop in their own unique ways.
Sister Sessions has received support from Creative Victoria and Dancehouse through Artist's Cut.
The Artist's Cut is a program that supports artists, across disciplines, to make things happen. It gives access to fully, or heavily subsidised space, and limited production, marketing and administrative support, to assist artists in organising income-generating opportunities for themselves and exciting new events, platforms, classes etc. for others.
