Dancehouse

Project Blah Blah

Dancehouse would like to congratulate Jo Lloyd and Deanne Butterworth on the presentation of Project Blah Blah at the Hong Kong Fringe Club earlier this month (Jan 2011).

The performance was presented by Hong Kong Fringe Club, Hong Kong Dance Allience, Dancehouse and STRUTdance as part of an ongoing partnership that is assisted by Global Japan Network.

The season, entitled Perfect Pairs and Odd Couples, featured three duets - Sprung by Sue Peacock and Stefan Karlsson, Project Blah Blah by Jo Lloyd and Deanne Butterworth and The Moment I Saw It by Li Young Jing and Lam Po.

The South China Morning Post described Project Blah Blah as

a tense examination of two people seeking to communicate...their desperation to connect emotionally is palpable.  The choreography conveyes this powerfully.

The tour also involved teaching a Workshop at the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts.

You can hear an interview with Jo and Deanne on Hong Kong radio station Radio 3through the link below.

Deanne and Jo have returned to Melbourne and will look for future opportunities to present the work.
