Spring Training Intensive features three teachers and ten classes - Oct 19 to Oct 30:

Rebecca Hilton returns with her contemporary technique class. A simple anatomically based warm up is followed by more complex phrase material, challenging co ordination patterns, exploring habits and tendencies, identifying who we are and what we do in order to take control of our learning experience. There is a particular focus on moving efficiently and easily, fully and clearly.
Rebecca worked for thirteen years in New York (eight of them in the Stephen Petronio Company) and has performed, choreographed and taught in various capacities in many different countries over several decades. She has contributed to the work of Lucy Guerin, Tere O'Connor, Michael Clark, Mathew Barney and many others. Recently she has been performing in New York with the John Jasperse Company, creating 'GO' a giant community event at Footscray Community Arts Centre, teaching for VCA, Chunky Move and e,x.e.r.c.e 6M1L (Montpellier) and curating the artistic program for Stompin in Launceston.

Trudy Radburn's contemporary technique class develops strength, flexibility and articulation through a deep physical awareness. Focusing on the rise and fall of momentum, flow of energy and the unlimited possibilities of the suspended body this class explores the use of weight and weightlessness in negotiating clear movement pathways.
Trudy has performed choreographed and taught extensively in Europe, Asia and Australia. She has a Masters in Choreography from VCA and prior to this studied at The London Contemporary Dance School. In London she performed with Jasmin Vardimon, Jayachandran and Sean Tuan John amongst others. Most recently her own work poupee premiered at 45Downstairs. She is currently choreographing a new work I undo and teaches contemporary technique at Deakin University.

Jo Lloyd - Jo's class progresses from simple warming exercises, to more detailed choreographed phrases, focusing on bringing awareness to the body, moving with efficiency and exploring a range of energy levels and movement qualities.
Jo Lloyd has been performing, choreographing and teaching throughout Australia and overseas since graduating from the VCA in 1995. Jo has performed in the works of Shelley Lasica, Chunky Move and Sandra Parker. Jo's own works have been presented in Japan, Adelaide and the Next Wave Festival. In 2008 Jo presented 'Apparently That's What Happened' at The Meat Market, which was nominated for three Green Room Awards. Recently Jo presented 'Melbourne Spawned a Monster' in Dance Massive, the outcome of her Housemate residency at Dancehouse, and performed in Shelley Lasica's work 'Vianne'. http://jolloyd.alphalink.com.au
